This is what can be deduced by attending the press conference for the presentation of AppTripper, a social app, the first and only one in Europe, which creates a geographical and emotional network between the works of the artistic and cultural heritage of 10 Italian cities of art.
The fascinating and extraordinary creation was presented yesterday morning at Mother Museum of Naples, fully inserting itself in the new path that the Donna Regina Foundation museum has been pursuing for about a month, promoting a new way of using the work of art, more and more interactive and able to communicate with the user.
In the new room Re_Public Mother located on the ground floor, Sebastiano Deva, creator of AppTripper, explained to the public present objectives and operation of this smartphone application, in the presence of Andrea Villani, director of the Mother, Pierpaolo Forte, president of the Donna Regina Foundation, ed Angela Tecce, director of the Special Superintendence for heritage, historical, artistic and ethno-anthropological and for the museum complex of the city of Naples.
WHAT IS TRIPPER APP
Discovering your city following the wake of your emotions, this one mission di AppTripper, whose idea starts from the assumption that, in contemporary times, apps and social networks are within everyone's reach, used on the agenda, while works of art, especially the most recent ones, are little known and sometimes tend to to "intimidate" and alienate the public.
In order to transform and "enlarge" the spectators of the contemporary artistic world, it is necessary to act in the opposite way: do not wait for visitors to cross the threshold of the museum but make sure that the works come out and are sought and desired by the public.
As? Using new technologies, ed AppTripper represents a real revolution in the ways of artistic fruition.
HOW IT WORKS
AppTripper is a simple smartphone app, downloadable from today's Android Play Store, available, from October 2013, also for IOS, Windows Phone and Blackberry.
Every user can access AppTripper creating your own profile. Then you can choose in which city to make your own artistic tour, choosing between Naples, Milan, Venice, Florence, Turin, Rome, Lecce and Palermo. Once you have chosen the city to explore, a mood must be selected, based on which a particular itinerary will be elaborated. 8 are the emotions to choose from, surprise, joy, love, melancholy, fear, anger, ecstasy, wonder, corresponding to as many emotional maps.
Each emotional map includes works of art corresponding to that particular emotion. To accomplish these match between moods and works, cultural operators and museum managers themselves were consulted. Once the user has obtained an artistic / emotional itinerary to follow, he can choose to follow it in its entirety or to geo-locate each single work to visit in the museum or gallery that hosts it.
SHARING AND SOCIAL NETWORK
AppTripper offers a different use of art to the user, marking a turning point in the dialogue between visitor and work of art. The user can choose to share photos, videos, voice messages, relating to the work of art chosen and visited in its emotional itinerary, leaving its tangible mark in the world of art. In this way the experience of the single visitor is not lost and becomes part of a network of feedback, also useful for individual museum structures to reformulate, if necessary, their artistic offer.
MUSEUMS INVOLVED
So far, there are three museum structures involved in the project AppTripper, but they are constantly updated. Mother Museum, Morra Foundation, Plart Museum, Museum of Capodimonte, Museum of the 900, Metro of the Art, Diocesan Museum, Pio Monte della Misericordia, Pharmacy of the Incurables, Girolamini, Academy of Fine Arts of Naples already collaborate in the initiative, making their works available on the app, each corresponding to a specific emotion. AppTripper it is designed only for museums in Italy that have permanent collections.
On Napoli the team of AppTripper, born in Ponticelli, has decided to include in the project too the structures and the works present in the historical center, which are also networked through the moods they arouse and to which they have been matched.
MISSION OF THE APPTRIPPER PROJECT
AppTripper was born with the aim of bringing anyone closer to art, especially those occasional visitors who consider this world too saturated with complex and abstract concepts. For the first time, thanks to the social app, art returns to its origins and translates into moods, speaking to the viewer in the simplest and most universal language, that of emotions.
La mission of the project is to create a whole network of emotional paths, whose works of art represent the transit stations or the individual destinations chosen by the visitor. The structure of the itineraries is constantly updated in the 10 cities of art involved.
AppTripper the measurable objective is that of increase the audience of art by 3 million users, subscribed to the app, in the next three years.
AppTripper makes Naples and Italy the first in Europe to develop a project of fruition and sharing of their own artistic experience, revolutionizing the very idea of contemporary artistic fruition.
Sebastiano Deva states that he has decided to present AppTripper in Naples to send a strong signal: this city is still alive, in addition to archeology, history, the wonders of the past, there is a whole artistic world in constant ferment, which must be valued and discovered by the public from all over the world.
