The ArcheoTreno is a splendid vintage train that goes from Naples to the excavations of Pompeii and the temples of Paestum!
Thanks to an initiative of the Campania Region, tourists will be able to travel on the ArcheoTreno, a splendid vintage train Trenitalia, to visit Paestum, the city of the Temples that the Greeks baptized with the name of Poseidonia and the Pompeii excavations.
The historical convoy, in addition to bringing visitors to these beautiful sites, will also stop for several hours waiting for tourists and citizens to discover the two Archaeological Parks.
Moreover, in the project of the Region, the extension of the high speed to the city of Sapri intermodal conservation by bus, thus using different types of transport but included in a single rate. We remind you that for the summer of 2017 the Metrò del Mare, which also this year will arrive in Cilento.

The vintage train from Naples to Cilento will be in service from June to November 2017 and will do 1 run per month on the following dates:
June 25 - July 23 - September 24 - August 30 - October 22 - November 26.

Ticket prices of the ArcheoTreno
- Adults: return ticket € 20,00, includes a visit to Pompeii and Paestum. If you buy on board it costs 15 €
- Boys between 4 and 12 years (not completed): round-trip € 10,00
- Children between 0 and 4 years: free. They must be accompanied by a paying adult and there will be no seat guarantee
- One way or only return: 50% Off on the ticket
Visits to archaeological parks
The train journey can be associated with two visits to the Archaeological Park of Pompeii and that of Paestum. Directly on the train you can buy the ticket, at a reduced rate, for the visits (does not include the trip). With this ticket, entry will be priority:

- Boys between 4 and 12 years (not completed), visit of the Archaeological Parks of Pompeii and Paestum €7,50
