Naples will host "Walk of Life" the famous Telethon marathon in support of research against genetic diseases
Sunday 19 April 2015, Naples will be the scenario of the Telethon "Walk Of Life" marathon, the important solidarity initiative that will involve all the cities of Italy.
Specifically, the event will be in support of the research on genetic diseases and will be divided into one competitive race of 10 Km and in a pleasant walk non-competitive of 3 Km, which will take life between the streets of the Parthenopean Gulf and Piazza del Plebiscito.
The Marathon will also be dedicated to fun, thanks to the Research Village that already from Saturday 18, from 9:00 to 19:00, will be open to citizens and tourists, offering numerous workshops and activities dedicated to sport and science, with lots of animation and shows music dedicated to adults and children.
The important initiative will aim to collect the necessary funds to scientific studies and to concretely help the families of those who did not make it, all the sick struggling every day, as well as the research institutes, which are constantly engaged in the search for answers and care for a type of complex pathology whose underlying mechanisms of action are not yet clear.
The Neapolitan race will therefore be dedicated to the many Spider Ciccio, Niccolò, Antimo and to support the institute TIGEM puteolano, among the most prestigious scientific centers of excellence in the country.
