The Federico II University celebrates its 791 years with a program full of events and celebrities such as Jovanotti and Paolo Sorrentino!
Friday 5 June 2015, the University Federico II of Naples will celebrate its first 791 years with events "Happy Birthday Federico II", which will take place at the many universities and will be attended by Jovanotti and Paolo Sorrentino.
Founded in 1224, at the behest of Frederick II of Swabia, the prestigious Neapolitan academy was the first lay university to be open to all citizens and still boasts being among the the oldest universities in the world and the largest university center in southern Italy.
Therefore, on the occasion of his birthday, Federico II will open to citizens and tourists all the faculties, educational, museum and monumental poles. The rich program of the day will be permeated with important meetings, concerts, prizes and much more.
In particular, among the many initiatives, the appointment with Jovanotti who will take part in the seminar "The languages of Creativity"(But on Thursday 4), and the awarding of the Laurea Honoris Causa to the Neapolitan director Paolo Sorrentino.
