World Sailing Championship Naples

The World Sailing Championship this year will be held in Naples in September with the participation of renowned international teams

Organized by the Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia, with the collaboration of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF), the FIV and the X-41 International Class Association, the next World Sailing Championship X-41 will take place in Naples by 22 28 to September 2013.

After the success of the previous editions ofAmerica’s Cup, which have revived the Gulf of Naples for many days, the waters of the Lungomare Liberato will once again host one prestigious sports competition. In a month the registrations to participate will close, but the organizers have already registered a record: the entire Italian fleet of the X-41 category has registered for the event with well 10 boats.

Among the Italian sails, there are also three Neapolitan representatives: Le Coq Hardì of the owners Giampaolo and Maurizio Pavesi, Malafemmena by Arthur John By Lorenzogust of Pasquale Orofino.

In addition, the regatta course, called The Wind Stadium from the 1960, also saw the recording of the renowned Japanese fleets ed Estonia, while the Finnish boat Normet, winner of last year's title, won at home in Helsinki, is still absent. Certainly, however, the sail will not make you wait any longer than your registration.

Therefore, the event will start on 22 September with the arrival of the crews, but it will be on the 25th that it will come alive with the start of regattas with 3 daily tests and a maximum of 10 tests to assign the sample title.
