National Championship of Pizza doc in Salerno to decree the best in Italy

Within the spaces of the Green Island on the south coast of Salerno, the8 and 9 November 2021, there will be an appointment with the National Pizza DOC Championship, an event during which the best pizza chef in all of Italy will be declared.

Organized byNational Pizza DOC Academy by Antonio Giaccoli, the National Pizza DOC Championship will see as a partner Molino Caputo, Sorrentine Dairy, Jamonita, Flavors of Naples, Workline - Uniforms & Uniforms and to many others.

There will be 11 categories in the competition and for the winners there will be a premium of 5000 euros in products and services offered by sponsors, while the overall winner will have the privilege of becoming testimonial for a full year of the National Pizza DOC Academy.

The categories in the competition

Here are the various categories in the race:

  • Classic Pizza, or the competitor's specialty pizza
  • Pizza Margherita DOC, even without respecting the TSG specification
  • Contemporary Pizza, made with all modern dough techniques
  • Pizza in Teglia, or the classic sliced ​​pizza
  • Pizza in Shovel
  • Roman Pinsa
  • Gluten-free pizza
  • Dessert Pizza
  • Gourmet pizza
  • Fried pizza
  • Fried, or the 3 types of classic and contemporary fried foods such as potato crocchè, arancino and pasta omelette

Skill Category:

  • Larger pizza
  • Free style
  • Faster pizza
  • Juniores category with the “Marco Agnello” prize, reserved for members aged between 16 and 21, unless explicitly requested by the competitor to participate in adult categories as well.

Everyone can participate in the competition pizza makers and pizza makers who have turned 16. The jury will vote for the best pizza without knowing the author and will be able to assign a score from 50 to 100 taking into consideration three principles: Taste, Cooking and Appearance.

Many prizes will also be awarded on the occasion i Pizza DOC Awards like Pizza DOC in the world, Best Pizzaiola DOC 2021, Oven Judges Award, FoodBlogger Award e Press Award.
