Campus3s: field hospital in Piazza del Plebiscito for free visits

The largest field hospital in Italy has been set up in Piazza del Plebiscito, for free medical examinations, fitness, events and a marathon in the name of prevention

For four days, from 17 to 20 October 2013 , Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples will become a real field hospital , the largest built in Italy, with 25 clinics and over 300 volunteer doctors where free medical visits, sports activities, events and meetings will be held.

The initiative is called Campus3s (Health, Sport, Solidarity) , and will be entirely dedicated to prevention and well-being for the whole family, under the banner of health, sport, and solidarity. The health village will be inaugurated on Thursday, October 17th at 2:00 PM and will be divided into various thematic areas : general and specific medical check-ups, consultations, sports activities, fitness, sports associations, team games, natural nutrition, physical well-being, promotion of social commitment projects, refreshments, events, meetings, presentations, live music, and much more.

People of all ages—adults, teens, and children—will be able to participate in the numerous activities, as the initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of prevention , learn about health, discover new sports, eat healthily, and improve habits. Furthermore, funds will be raised to finance prevention projects with social impact proposed by nonprofit organizations operating in the Campania region.

The Prevention Race will also be held on October 20th , a marathon starting at 9:30 a.m. in the name of wellness, health, and sport. There are two options for participating: a race for athletes , a 10 km marathon (along the entire Naples seafront), or, alternatively, a 2 km walk (along the Santa Lucia seafront).

It will be possible to "marry" the good cause of prevention also by participating in a photographic contest and a literary literary contest.
