A great masked ball with period music for the Neapolitan eighteenth-century Carnival at Palazzo Teodoro!

Carnival in Naples is a period always full of events and parties that are organized in the squares, in the streets or even in beautiful historic buildings. This is the case of Neapolitan 18th-century Carnival which will take place in Palazzo Caracciolo of San Teodoro il 25 February 2017 and that will allow us to immerse ourselves in the typical party atmosphere of that century.

The event is organized by Travelers and the City and will be a costume ball reserved for 500 people who will have to show up in period clothes to dance in the noble rooms of the palace wanted by the Duke of San Teodoro. There costume party wants to take us back in time, in the years when the Neapolitan salons were fervid and just the Carnival was one of the annual events most felt by people and nobility. And precisely the Palazzo San Teodoro was one of the great residences in which, under the reign of the Bourbons, great receptions were organized for the Carnival.

Appointment in Piazza dei Martiri where the eighteenth-century parade will take place up to Palazzo San Teodoro.

The ball begins at the Palazzo and the guests will be greeted by the butlers who will take their overcoats and accompany them to the living room for the toast based on Millesimato Valdobbiadene to the notes of the female string quartet Zahir Quartet.

We will continue in the second room where you can taste the French oysters of the Oyster Bar Navicola, raised in the Atlantic salt marshes of southern Brittany, and then taste the largest sartù ever made for 300 years in a vegetarian version.

In the third room all the guests will dance with the performers accompanied by the soprano Robera Andalò and the musician Mariarosaria Marchi on the harpsichord, the Bach instrument used in Baroque and Rococo music.
Moreover, throughout the evening there will be the formula open bar until late at night and you can consume unlimited alcoholic / non-alcoholic drinks in any Palace bar station at no additional cost.

How to participate

Participation in the Carnival will be with invite and only 500 people will participate.
Here is the mode:

  • First of all, the eighteenth-century dress is mandatory
  • The invitation includes all the services: theater performances, toasts, music and dances, gourmet dinner, disco, open bar
  • You can get it the online invitation starting from 6 February at 13.00
  • Once activated, you will get a purchase code and each owner will be contacted and invited to collect the official invitation to the Visit Naples office in Galleria Umberto I, 27
  • Considering that many people will want to participate, it is advisable to patiently wait for the activation of the online service on February 6th and Travlers and the City announces that "in no way will it be able to intervene in favor of those who fail to make the accreditation in time"
