The latest rumors on the possible return of Massimo Giletti to Rai they get more and more insistent. The host of “It's Not the Arena” might take the place of Fabio Fazio, which seems ready to move elsewhere.

As reported by TvBlog, negotiation between Giletti and Rai seems to have started and could materialize a May, after a change at the top of the company. The journalist would have good relations with the current government structure, which could facilitate his return. Giletti had left Rai in 2017, when its “L'Arena” program had moved to La7.

The possible role of Giletti in Rai

The most surprising news concerns the role that Giletti could cover within Rai: the conductor would be in contention to occupy prime time on Sundays on Rai3, currently entrusted to Fabio Fazio with “Che tempo che fa”. The Fazio contract with Rai is in deadline and the renewal would not be automatic with the new leaders who could arrive in May, just as the renewal of the Che Tempo che fa broadcast is not certain.

The future of Fabio Fazio

If the hypothesis of a return of Giletti to Rai were to materialize, Fabio Fazio could relocate on channel Nine of the Discovery group, where Maurizio Crozza, his friend and agency colleague, already works. In past years, there had already been talks several times of a possible passage of Fazio to Canale Nove.
