In the days from 26 February to 1 March 2024, Corso San Giovanni in Naples will see the implementation of a temporary circulation device. A measure that is necessary to facilitate the redevelopment works that fall within the broader scope “Major urban redevelopment project of the East Naples Port Area”.
The main goal is to improve the road infrastructure and sewerage system in the area, with particular attention to the stretch of road that goes from the intersection with via F. Learned to the one with via Signorini.
The circulation device
To ensure the progress of work in safety e efficiency, it was necessary to establish a prohibition of vehicular transit on the lane of Corso San Giovanni heading towards Naples Center. The affected section extends from the intersection with via F. Learned to the one with via Signorini.
The decision was made following a organization conference, held on 15 February, which saw the participation of institutional and technical representatives involved in the project.
The main limitations imposed by the temporary circulation device in Corso San Giovanni include:
- Prohibition of vehicular transit: on the lane with direction of travel towards Naples Center, in the included section between the intersection with via F. Learnato and that with via Signorini.
- Alternative route: to maintain the interrupted connections, the route along via Signorini is indicated as a valid alternative.
When the works are scheduled and when traffic will be restored
The redevelopment works in Corso San Giovanni in Naples are scheduled to take place from 26 February to 1 March 2024. During this period, a temporary circulation device will be in place to facilitate the progress of the works and ensure the safety of workers and citizens.
