Due to urgent works, the Galleria della Vittoria closed with consequent slowdowns. That's when it will reopen and the new driving directions
UPDATE: The Victory Gallery will be again closed from 24 to 6 of 14 May 2015 for some signage completions and some finishing work on the Acton side. Cars coming from Piazza Vittoria can normally travel via Chiatamone. The cars coming from Via Marina, however, to reach the Mergellina area will have to take the Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
WARNING: At 6:30 pm today 13 Maggio 2015, as scheduled, the Galleria della Vittoria has been reopened to vehicular traffic after the urgent work of securing the façade.
Tuesday 12 May 2015 has been arranged to close the Galleria della Vittoria, in Naples, on the side of via Arcoleo / Chiatamone, due to a technical verification of the municipal offices carried out on the façade, which requires immediate work.
There will therefore be gods slowdowns for cars on Via Caracciolo, Via Marina e Corso Umberto and for those coming from the area of via Tasso.
The closure is started at 7 this morning and it will last for the next 24 hours, but the Municipal Police and the Civil Defense are taking care of carrying traffic from Piazza Vittoria to Via Chiatamone. Always for the next 24 hours it will be reopened via Partenope, from Piazza Vittoria to Via Acton, with the creation of a special lane, bounded by barriers that protect the bike path and the remaining pedestrian part.
Moreover, to facilitate the work, it was reversed the sense of direction of via Chiatamone and via Arcoleo, to allow cars that come from via Marina, via Depretis and from the lower part of Piazza Municipio to reach Piazza Vittoria.
In order to lighten vehicle traffic to the city center, from this morning and until the 9 hours of tomorrow morning the ztl gates of via Duomo and piazza Dante are open and freely accessible.
The Municipality invites citizens to limit the use of cars as much as possible for today Tuesday 12 May and take advantage of alternative routes.
