The cloister of San Domenico Maggiore in Naples will act as a stage for the theatrical review "Classic Contemporary".
The event, falling within the busy schedule of Summer in Naples 2017, It will take place from 8 to 27 August 2017, under the artistic direction of Gianmarco Cesario and Mirko Di Martino.
Curated by Teatro dell'Osso in collaboration with Aries Teatro ed Eventi, the festival, now in its fourth edition, includes a truly vast program, which embraces, in fact, the classic and the contemporary, paying homage to the entire history of the theater. .
From classic to contemporary
One of the historic sites of Naples is, therefore, ready to host shows that will cover the different theatrical epochs, from that of ancient Greece Homer e Sofocle to the Venice of Carlo Goldoni, passing through the Cyrano De Bergerac by Edmond Rostand and the eternal William Shakespeare, reaching our Eduardo, Totò, Raffaele Viviani and Nino Taranto, up to the contemporary era, symbolized by giants like Giorgio Gaber, Dario Fo and Franca Rame.
It will be an exciting all-round trip in theatrical art that will make its contribution in making Neapolitan summer even richer in culture.
