Outdoor cinema in San Domenico Maggiore in Naples: 40 free evenings

From August 7th to September 15th 2021, the unmissable event will take place with the Cinema Unesco Sotto le Stelle initiative , a summer festival organized by the Department of Education, Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Naples thanks to the POC Funds.

Forty evenings will take place in the open-air cinema arena in the courtyard of the Convent of San Domenico Maggiore , therefore in compliance with all anti-Covid 19 regulations. Entrance will be absolutely free but reservations will be required.

The first event will screen the film OSANNAPLES, directed by Deborah M. Farina, which is dedicated to the Neapolitan rock group.

Unesco cinema under the stars in Naples

Around 37 films will be screened during the summer festival Cinema sotto le stelle in Naples , 10 will be films from Campania and Naples that will aim to promote our region, then 9 films by great international authors, 5 works of Italian cinema, 6 great cinema classics modernized and many others are on the program.

Among these will be works such as Richard Jewell by Clint Eastwood, Pain and Glory by director Pedro Almodovar, and then The Macaluso Sisters by Emma Dante, Nomad and others.

How to book

To attend, you must book at the website indicated in the information sheet, starting from 2:00 PM the day before and ending at 6:00 PM the same day. Entry is permitted from 8:30 PM , while screenings begin at 9:15 PM . Please note that, as required by law, entry is permitted only to those with a Green Pass and valid identification.
