Naples responds to McDonald's, bars and cafes offer coffee, croissants, babà and sfogliatelle to those who will present themselves with a typical Neapolitan object

Yesterday, 24 March 2015, McDonald's offered free breakfast to anyone who showed up in his premises with the pajamas, thus guaranteeing the same offer also for the following 24 days. Initiative really interesting for lovers of food offered by the American colossus, but that has not found the favor of all the citizens of Naples.

It is true that McDonald's has had great success in the last twenty years, even in our country, but lately the appeal towards Italian customers, and especially Neapolitan ones, is slowly waning. This is why some traders especially owners of bars and cafés in Naples, have decided to launch a personal counter-proposal to the free breakfast initiative.

The idea is to respond with an event under the banner of Neapolitan breakfast made of coffee, cappuccino, croissant, brioche and so on and so forth, there is plenty of choice among typical Neapolitan products. Sfogliatelle and babà, for example, will be the protagonists of a day in which anyone who goes to a bar or a coffee shop will join the initiative with an typical Neapolitan object that recalls our traditions and origins, like a book or a particular object, can refresh for free.

The idea was launched through the Radiazza conducted by Gianni Simioni, to whom some traders called to make the proposal.

A nice and alternative way to further enhance our products and our traditions.
As soon as we know the date of the day dedicated to breakfast for free we will publish it.
