The Church of San Lorenzo Maggiore in Naples will host the 2017 Easter Concert!
The April 14 2017, Good Friday, will be held on Easter Concert in the evocative Neapolis Buried in the complex of San Lorenzo Maggiore in Piazza San Gaetano a Napoli.
On such a special day for the Neapolitan spiritual community, Easter is celebrated one of the most evocative places in the historic center. The Greco-Roman underground city with the overlying 6th century paleochristian basilica, it offers a special location for the classical music concert that will offer interpretations of the music of great authors like Vivaldi, Pergolesi, Kodaly e Mozart.
The protagonists of this concert will be the soprano Filomena Scala, the tenor Massimiliano Sebastiano and the horn player Donato English. The accompanying choir will be the Vox Artis of the San Giovanni Orchestra with conductor Keith Goodman. A great opportunity to listen to theexcellent classical music in such a suggestive place as the submerged Greek Roman Naples.
