The Chorus of Voices of the Teatro San Carlo in concert at the Chiesa del Gesù Nuovo in Naples

The prestigious Chorus of Voices of the Teatro San Carlo will perform at the Gesù Nuovo in Naples: the proceeds will be used for the restoration of the church!

The Church of Gesù Nuovo in Naples hosts an unmissable musical event. It is the concert of the Children's Choirs of the Teatro San Carlo , which will perform on October 27 , 2017. The choir will be directed by Maestro Stefania Rinaldi.

The event's purpose is to present the public with a high-quality performance, but that's not all. Admission is free : everyone can support the church's restoration with their donations. The Jesuits are organizing several initiatives to fund the conservation project.

The campaign's underlying theme is "Let's relight the New Jesus" : the lighting system is one of the main objectives of the renovation . The restoration will also include the magnificent ashlar façade, the 70 wooden busts of saints, and the frescoes in the chapels.

Since 2004, the Teatro San Carlo Children's Choir has engaged young people, encouraging them to cultivate their talent and artistic skills. Over the years, the choir has been directed by great maestros such as Mehta, Tate, and Webb.
