The film "Thus spoke Bellavista" turns 30 and Naples decides to celebrate it with a special screening at the Martos Metropolitan cinema in via Chaia

Monday 10 February at 20: 30 at Martos Metropolitan cinema in via Chaia a truly unmissable event will be held. In fact, the film will be screened to celebrate its 30 years from the first screening in the theater Thus spoke Bellavista, a real milestone of Neapolitan cinema, but also national, written, directed and performed by Luciano De Crescenzo.

In the cast of the film, shot in the 1984, actors known as Tommaso Bianco, Benedetto Casillo, Isa Danieli and Marina Confalone, protagonists of episodes and situations that have become known and widespread among the Neapolitan jokes, some of which have been transformed into real aphorisms recited by heart, expression of an exquisitely Neapolitan philosophy of life.

The story revolves around the transfer to the city of Naples of the Milanese Cazzaniga, the new staff director of AlfaSud, and his meeting / clash with Nice view, a retired philosophy professor, through which a greater and more rooted secular "clash" is reflected, that between Northern and Southern Italy. Between hilarious and grotesque episodes, reflections on life and a roundup of bizarre and funny characters, the film tells many aspects of life in the city of Naples, showing us his joy of life, but also the Camorra and delinquency.

And who knows! Who knows what Naples really is like. However, I sometimes think that even if Naples, what I say, does not exist as a city, it certainly exists as a concept, as an adjective. So I think that Naples is the most Naples city I know and that wherever I went in the world I saw that there was a need for a little Naples.

in short So I speak Bellavista quickly entered the hearts and collective imagination of Neapolitans and those who love this city full of contrasts and wonders, as happened with the films of Totò, Massimo Troisi, and the comedies of Eduardo. That's why Naples decides to celebrate the 30th anniversary of De Crescenzo's film with the event at the Martos cinema, to which everyone is invited, for free entry, subject to availability. The event is promoted by Francesco Emilio Borrelli and Gianni Simioli of the “Radiazza” of Radio Marte Stereo. At the screening Luciano De Crescenzo and the actors Benedetto Casillo, Marina Confalone, Sergio Solli and Franco Javarone will also be present. The evening will be dedicated to the memory of the actor Antonio Allocca, interpreter of the character "Core 'ngrato", who passed away a short time ago.
