Boccaccio's “Il Decamerone” will be staged at the Diana Theater interpreted by the beloved Stefano Accorsi!

From 10 2016 February, at Diana Theater of Naples, will go on stage "The Decameron", the great work of Giovanni Boccaccio who will see a sparkling among the protagonists Stefano Accorsi.

The seven novels, which boast theatrical adaptation and directed by Marco Baliani, will feature the young and famous Italian actor who will play Panfilo, accompanied from many other protagonists such as Fiammetta (played by Silvia Ajelli), Filostrato (played by Salvatore Arena), Elissa (played by Silvia Briozzo), Pampinea (played by Fonte Fantasia) and Dioneo (played by Mariano Nieddu).

An exciting show that will tell one of the most prestigious and precious works of Italian literature, where they intertwine stories of passionate and furious loves with grotesque and scary stories in a city marked by the plague.

Novelle, these, that well they are suitable for today's society where to be plague is the civil life, victim of corruption, mafia, impudence, lies and exploitation.

A nice opportunity to rediscover another aspect of the Italian heritage, not only represented by naturalistic and architectural beauties, but also by a wonderful and unique linguistic tradition.
