NarteA, the cultural association of Naples organizes for Saturday November 4, 2023 a special appointment at Muse, or the University Museum of Arts and Sciences which is located inside the former Convent of Santa Patrizia.

In particular, the program includes an unmissable theatrical visit entitled Of flesh, of wax, of bones, which will take place between anatomical waxes, skeletons, petrifications, calculations and calcinations. Visitors, under the careful guidance of Marina Minniti, will be led on a fascinating journey in which the actors Sergio Del Prete, Valeria Frallicciardi, Alessio Sica will interpret the texts of Phoebus Oak.

The guided tour of the former Convent

Upon their arrival, guests will be led inside theformer Convent of Santa Patrizia, the protector of the city together with San Gennaro. During this guided tour guests will be able to admire the two cloisters of the Convent which currently house some institutes of the Vanvitelli Faculty of Medicine.

Inside the areas of the former convent there is the Museum dedicated to anatomy with anatomical pieces from every era, shape and size. Furthermore, there is also a large collection of fetal malformations, the petrifications of Enfisio Marini ei two dried bodies in which the vascular system is seen highlighted by intravascular injection.

During the theatrical visit guests will meet Judith Guastamacchia, famous character in the history of Naples, condemned to death due to an incestuous love. Then the monologue will follow Enfisio Marini a Sardinian doctor.
