The Madre Museum of Naples will host an extraordinary double free event not to be missed!
Il Donnaregina Museum of Contemporary Art of Naples, continues to delight the Neapolitan public with exciting events dedicated to modern art and its evolution.
Il 19 February 2015, the Mother will host two appointments completely free dedicated to Lucio Amelio and the historic Neapolitan CityHall.
The extraordinary event will start with a guided tour and reading at the exhibition, underway until the next 9 in March, "Lucio Amelio. From the Modern Art Agency to the genesis of Terrae Motus (1965-1982) Documents, works, a history… ”.
An interesting journey that will bring to light the beautiful works signed by Amelio, embellished by reading the many letters exchanged, at the end of the '60 years, between the artist and the numerous characters, gallerists, collectors and representatives of the Neapolitan culture of the time, among which appear names like Lucio Fontana and James Lee Byars and many other important faces of the historical scenario , artistic and cultural.
The evening will continue with the second scheduled event titled "CityHall @ MOTHER", the musical and photo-cinematographic performance dedicated to the events that took place at the end of the 70 years, in the famous venue of the Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
Years in which the CityHall became the intellectual center of excellence for many internationally renowned artists and where above all the memorable meeting between Andy Warhol and Joseph Beuys, organized by Amelio himself.
Finally, to conclude the double date in beauty, we will think about it music electronics of the DJ set RESI.DUO and the psychedelic sounds, deep house and techno of the DJ and Neapolitan producer DOMAEX.
