The Donnaregina Museum of Contemporary Art in Naples will be the scene of the interesting union between art and electronic music!

Last 16 November 2014 at the Mother Museum of Naples began "ElectroMadre", an artistic / musical project with the aim to music, through performances of electronic music, the works on permanent display.

The event, which will end the 7 December 2014, foresees four artistic-electro-musical Sundays ad free entry, together with students of the composition classes and courses of electronic music belonging to the music high schools of Naples and surroundings.

The choice of electronic melody was born to emphasize the particular respect that Naples shows towards all vanguards, cultural and musical.

And the Donnaregina Museum of Contemporary Art, on this trail, has proposed and realized the interesting initiative to experiment the union of two ultramodern expressions, the musical one, through electronics, and the figurative one with the masterpieces of the contemporary art collection on display in the museum rooms.

The first two performances, the 16 and the 23 November took place, respectively saw the students of the Conservatory of S. Pietro a Majella of Naples perform with Event Loop e Galileo, the moon and the other stars  and the ACUS (ma) TICO project by Maestro Giancarlo Turaccio and Maestro Silvia Lanzalone.

They remain, therefore, alone two Sundays full of events. Not to be missed.

ElctroMadre program

30 November 2014 - Conservatory N. Sala di Benevento

  • Minimal does not hurt ... - Project by Maestro Luigi Turaccio - Twelve acousmatic compositions, a challenge "in the composition" played on the field of the economy of materials, which are created by putting into play a single sound event, manipulated and reinvented through the 'digital processing.
  •  Fluxes and Mutations - Extracts of sound skein, multilinear ensembles of different nature traversed by processes in perennial disequilibrium - Project by M ° Giosuè Grassia
  •  The creation of "sound sculptures" with the aid of electroacoustic means of the Department of New Technologies - "Sound gestures" based on the concept of "ec-ce-dèn-za" received as materials and decoded as "sound residue". The object basis of these elements is obtained from "refusal", "from nothing" but, organized in a system of real unconscious relationships, it owes to these two attributes the fact that it can function without being known or correctly interpreted.

7 December 2014 - D. Cimarosa Conservatory of Avellino

  • Organized Sound - Project by Maestro Vincenzo Gualtieri
  • "Organized Sound" (by E. Varése) is the sound organized according to a plurality of expressive needs, which combines electro-acoustic experiences in the perspective of the Arts (in the plural) of the Sound; it is the freedom to explore means, to elaborate "contextually" ends to avoid that data means choose pre-established ends and aesthetics for us; to avoid pursuing ends at any cost, and then find themselves adapting their means to current listening directories. "Organized Sound" springs from the conviction of how important it is to give form to new repertoire - for composer students and student interpreters - and from the awareness that "Conservatory" does not mean only protection and protection of the existing (of crafts, of doing music, and of the men engaged in that) but also invention, research, creation of original, unpublished, unheard of paths.
