Enzo Avitabile and I Bottari in concert to celebrate 20 years of the Arenile Reload in Naples!
THEArenile Reload, cult location of the Neapolitan movida, this year it turns 20 years old, and to celebrate them will organize an unmissable concert with Enzo Avitabile and the Bottari di Portico, who will perform Saturday 17 May 2014 starting from 21: 30.
The club was born in the 1994 as Arenile di Bagnoli, from a project by Umberto Frenna and the Nesis Cultural Association with the aim of reclaiming a former landfill in the area, suggestive but abandoned and in a state of decay, of the former Italsider. Frenna made it a location transformed into a real village of music and entertainment, and it was inaugurated in 1994 with a concert by James Senese on the lava beach.
Over the years the Arenile has been increasingly considered a place destined for culture returned to the city, chosen by many national and international artists for their lives. A location loved by all Neapolitans and frequented both during the day (including solarium, brunch and aperitifs) and in the evening (between live evenings and disco), as the main point of reference for leisure and relaxation.
After 20 years, the seaside village of Bagnoli, which today is called Arenile Reload, will celebrate his birthday with the concert of Enzo Avitabile, Neapolitan artist now consecrated internationally as a singer, composer and saxophonist.
Enzo Avitabile will perform in a live to the rhythm of blues, jazz and soul together with "Bottari", percussionists who carry on the ancient Neapolitan tradition of playing wine barrels, tradition and ritual with which the peasants drove away evil spirits and which, with the passage of time, became a good omen for the harvest.
You can then attend an exciting show, which contaminates the rhythms of soul music, jazz and blues with the most exquisite Neapolitan percussion tradition.
