The new edition of Sacro Sud 2023
Sacred SOUTH it's not just a festival, it's a celebration of unity through music. Every year, under the visionary guidance of Enzo Avitabile, Naples comes alive with this exceptional event. Artists from all over the world come together to share their art in places full of history and spirituality.
From Portuguese Fado al contemporary jazz, each performance is a meeting between tradition and innovation. Sacred SOUTH it is an ode to cultural diversity, an invitation to discover and appreciate the many facets of world music. Here, sacred sounds blend with profane melodies, creating a unique atmosphere where every note tells a story, every rhythm is a step towards global harmony. - 11 December: Starts with Frida Bollani Magoni, followed by the eclectic Operaquartet of Basilica of San Giacomo degli Spagnoli.
- 15 December: Enzo Avitabile presents “Devotions” at Basilica of San Domenico Maggiore, uniting big names in world music.
- 16 December: The Church of Santa Maria Donnaregina Vecchia hosts Cristina Branco, icon of Portuguese Fado.
- 19 December: The kamancheh virtuoso, Kayhan Kalhor, in duo with Erdal Erzincan, enchants the same church.
- 21 December: A musical dialogue between Markus Stockhausen and Alireza Mortazavi, who explore new sonic frontiers.
- 6 January: Enzo Avitabile closes the festival with “Naples & Africa”, combining different sounds in the Church of San Francesco and Santa Chiara in Ponticelli.

The fourth edition of this festival, which inaugurates the musical programming of City of Naples for “Christmas in Naples 2023”, offers all its concerts completely price quotation.
