The project “Herculaneum=Legality+Tourism” (E=L+T), supported by the Metropolitan City of Naples and promoted by the Mayor of Ercolano, Ciro Buonajuto, and the Councilor for Tourism, Anna Giuliano, is reaching its conclusion. This project, with profoundly artistic and cultural roots, was born as a response to illegality, proposing a message of hope and the rediscovery of local traditions.
Three Days of Celebration in Piazza Pugliano
On the occasion of the celebrations for Maria SS. Assunta in Cielo, the Municipality of Ercolano will host three special evenings of entertainment in Piazza Pugliano starting at 21:00:
- 12 August: They will perform Municipal Vincent, an emerging Italian comic scene, followed by the neo-folk musical group The mask. The latter, under the guidance of the charismatic Roberto Colella, gained notoriety for his innovative interpretation of traditional music.
- 13 August: Andrea Sannino, known for hits such as "Abbracciame", will perform, celebrating his return to the scene after a hiatus. The concert will see the presentation of songs from his new album, "Mosaic", a set of tracks that tell stories of life, love and poetic moments.
- 14 August: The evening will see the presence of Tony Tammaro and Napolitudine, with a mix of irony and sarcasm. The evening will culminate with a fireworks display dedicated to Maria SS. Assumed into Heaven.
Mayor Buonajuto underlines how these events are not only moments of celebration, but also opportunities to strengthen the sense of community and devotion to the Madonna of Pugliano.
The Goal of E=L+T
The project E=L+T, launched at Christmas and continuing with various events, aims to revitalize the image of Herculaneum. After years of conflicts related to crime, Herculaneum is embarking on a path of legality and renewal. The mission is clear: to change the perception of the area, emphasizing legality, identity and beauty as the foundations, for a rebirth, especially from a tourist point of view.
