For the summer of 2018 the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum reopens the Ancient Theater to the public and offers evening guided tours with sensory itineraries!
Summer in full swing al Ercolano Archaeological Park: the season will be full of events not to be missed, like the one with the reopening of the Ancient Theater and evening visits to the excavations. The PAErco Teatro Tour, to discover the theater, provides access to the public on an experimental basis in 10 dates between June, July and October 2018. The calendar of evening initiatives, the Herculaneum Experience, is still being defined.
Events are part of the planning of Campania by Night, which in collaboration with local cultural bodies suggest suggestive paths under the stars in archaeological sites of the region. The Ancient Theatre will return to be usable to citizens and tourists after 20 years of closure for restoration work: will be visible the remains of the building, finds, frescoes, galleries and the graffiti of the Grand Tour travelers, for whom the excavations of Herculaneum represented an obligatory stop.

Duration of the route: 45-60 minutes
The path is underground, approximately 25 meters below street level, and is reserved for adults. The appointment is at the old ticket office at the entrance to the Archaeological Park, in Corso Resina 187, at least 30 minutes before the start of your visit. They are recommended comfortable clothing and shoes, suitable for a wet environment with wet and sometimes slippery floors.
