Eugenio Bennato will perform with Tarantapower in an evening dedicated to the popular culture of Southern Italy
Thursday 30 April 2015, Eugenio Bennato he will perform in a free concert at the 'Ex Filangieri nursery school in Naples.
The special event will be accompanied by Tarantapower, the movement created in the 1998 by the same Bennato in order to enhance and disseminate the Taranta at national and international level, understood as dance, musical style and as a maximum expression of the Mediterranean heritage.
And in fact, during the concert there will also be the opportunity to rediscover the dances of the south through the event, which is running every month, "Festibál Napoli dances in the center, in the south" and a special one Taranta laboratory, edited by Sonia Totaro and Emilia Meoli.
From the early afternoon, therefore, the participants can unleash themselves to the rhythm of tarante and tammorriate that will warm up the atmosphere before the highly anticipated live. All embellished by the mandolin of the master Mimmo Epifani present on the occasion of the Festibàl.
A good initiative therefore, to listen thick music and to rediscover the style of the South, always the main theme of the work of Bennato and Tarantapower that through CDs, promotions of Italian musical groups, concerts, initiatives and teaching aimed at diffusion of ethnic music and of the marvelous popular culture of Southern Italy.
