At the Faicchio wheat festival on display the history and rural culture of the prosperous Sannio
From the 15 28 2015 June, Faicchio, in the Benevento area, the Wheat Festival.
Wheat, which in rural culture has always been a vital element, will be the protagonist of the event, during which the different will be shown phases of its cycle: from plowing to sowing, from harvesting to threshing, from the transformation of the seed into flour to the packaging of products such as bread and pasta which are the pillars of the healthy Mediterranean diet.
The party will be a marriage of history, culture, folklore, the rediscovery and protection of the value of work in the fields and its genuine products. For this reason, during the event, will be set up exhibition stands of typical products of the countryside, with tastings of the tasty dishes of the ancient culinary tradition of the Sannio. The tender beef that visitors will taste is of the Marchigiana PGI breed.
Furthermore, there will be an interesting one exhibition fair and pleasant ones will be set up musical performances.
