In the fascinating context of monumental complex of San Domenico Maggiore in Naples, the event returns for its second edition Beer Independent. From the enveloping atmosphere of the courtyard and cloister to the internal rooms full of history, this event is scheduled from 6 to 8 October 2023, promises to be a multisensory experience. In addition to tasting selected beers, the program will include educational sessions, art exhibitions and musical performances.
The Location of the Event
The monumental complex of San Domenico Maggiore it is located in the historic heart of Naples. Its external courtyard and cloister offer an ideal location to host the stands of Campania breweries selected, including Okorei, Birrificio Artigianale Napoletano, Incanto, Kobi, Kbirr, Karma and AF. The internal spaces of the complex, such as the Chapter Room, were chosen to host meetings in-depth sessions, open to the public upon reservation at 18.00 pm and 19.00 pm.
Not just beer, but also food and tastings
The Campania brewing panorama will be explored in detail through masterclasses and guided tastings. Industry experts, including Antonio Martinetti, Pippo Raia and Natale Sessa, will be present to reveal production techniques, current directions and future challenges in the brewing field. In addition to the beers, the selection of foods and snacks of quality will aim to enhance the variety and uniqueness of local ingredients.
Special attention will be paid to the German tradition ofOktoberfest. In addition to the range of local beers, beers will be available for tasting Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest, more alcoholic versions of traditional Bavarian lagers, which are part of a cultural synergy with the Munich event.
The Cultural Program
Art and culture will not be neglected. There Refectory Hall will host the exhibition “Behind Acrylic” by the Neapolitan artist Arianna Rybchenko, which explores the expressive potential of art with acrylics. The musical fabric of the event will be curated by some of the best artists and groups of the Campania music scene, who will provide entertainment until midnight.
