From 10 to 12 July 2015, Sant'Antonio Abate will celebrate the tomato with lots of fun and excellent gastronomy!
For lovers of good food, do not miss the 3 ° edition of the Tomato Festival and of his tradition that will take place at Sant'Antonio Abate, from 10 to 12 July 2015.
The event, organized by the Parish Center Santa Maria Rosa Nova, will immerse visitors in a tasty gastronomic journey to rediscover the tomato, its goodness and the extraordinary history it contains.
The rich menu, yet to be unveiled, will be edited with the help of Slow Food - Monti Lattari Convivium and will provide many delicious recipes based on the "red gold". A real treasure, this, which is the main element around which the economy of Sant'Antonio Abate, famous for the transformation, processing and cultivation of tomatoes.
The three days will be embellished with entertainment, music, dancing, guests, products for celiacs and so much charity given that the entire proceeds will be donated for the reconstruction of the Pastoral Center, a former tomato factory.
Furthermore, for those interested, it will be possible to publish them on the Facebook page of the event photos of typical abatean recipes based on tomato, made by the users themselves. A nice initiative to enhance and promote an ancient gastronomic tradition, always appreciated and loved.
