This year's edition of the International Neapolitan Music Festival of the '700 comes to coincide with Easter 2015, to celebrate it through Baroque music

After the success of last year's edition, the concerts of International Music Festival of the '700 Neapolitan in the 2015 edition, a festival entirely dedicated to Baroque music.

The review will take place during the Easter period, from 1 to 5 April 2015 at Domus Ars Culture Center in Via Santa Chiara and has now reached its XNUMXth edition. The main purpose of the initiative is to "Re-propose the well-known and unpublished music of the Neapolitan music school of the eighteenth century conceived by Maestro Enzo Amato".

This year, in particular, the whole program will be based on music of the Easter liturgy and each concert will take care of marking its salient moments.
So we can listen to the liturgical rites of Holy Thursday, the Stabat Mater on Good Friday and the music that will celebrate the whole 2015 Easter day.

"The seven last words of Christ on the Cross" by Niccolò Jommelli for the revision by Pietro Andrisani and with the performance of the ENSEMBLE DISCANTUS by the Vocalia Choir and the soloists Guido Ferretti tenor, Piero Vitiello bass, Antonello Grima cello, Manuela Albano cello, Paolo Bassoon crossbowmen, Luigi Lamberti double bass, conducted by Luigi Grima.
The Agony of Jesus Christ will be narrated.

AD SEPULCRUM with music by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741), Gaetano Veneziano 1665- 1716), Leonardo Leo (1694-1744) The first modern performance of the Lectio Quinta of Holy Thursday will be performed for the 300th anniversary of his birth by the Neapolitan Gennaro Manna (1715-1779) former master of the Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro. The protagonists are the ENSEMBLE CHAMBER MUSIC with Rosa Montano mezzo-soprano, Egidio Mastrominico violin in concert, RobertoRoggia violin I of stuffing, Federico Valerio violin II concertino, Fernando Ciaramella viola, Leonardo Massa cello, Ottavio Gaudiano double bass, Giuseppe Petrella theorbo and baroque guitar, Debora Capitanio harpsichord.

Stabat Mater by Giovan Battista Pergolesi (1710 - 1736), in a version with Chorus directed by Giuseppe Polese, is the Jubialte Deo Choir. He will be accompanied by THE SOLOISTS OF THE NAPLES CHAMBER ORCHESTRA solo voices Mariateresa Polese soprano, Tonia Langella mezzo-soprano, organ Nicola Polese, conducting Enzo Amato. The first modern performance will be Miserere mei Deus by Pasquale Anfossi, known to the public for having been plagiarized by Mozart.

THE CONCERT IN NAPLES, concert of instrumental music by Neapolitan authors such as Domenico Cimarosa (1749-1801), with the Piano Concerto performed by Lorenzo Traverso.
The flute concerto in G major by Giovan Battista Pergolesi (1710- 1736), the flute Stefano Traverso and the viola concerto by Michele Mascitti (1664- 1760) for revision by Pietro Andrisani on the viola Marco Traverso accompanies the Ensemble Discantus.
