An octopus of balloons will embrace the Monteoliveto Fountain in Naples: an aquarium-themed work of art with algae, bubbles and marine animals!
Friday 13 October 2017 the Fountain of Monteoliveto in Naples it will turn into a work of art aquarium themed. The artist Andrea Papolino will surprise the Neapolitans with his balloon art: a huge octopus of balloons in fact, it will embrace the monument.
From the fountain they will come out two jets of water and a dolphin, also these made with balloons. Between algae, marine animals and bubbles, Cosimo Fanzago's masterpiece will be protagonist of a cultural revolution. The aim is to put art and beauty at the center, in contrast with the degradation that often affects the fountain.
The initiative starts from the Be Turista della Tua Città association, which has already promoted the cleaning of the monument three times. As the promoters point out in the presentation video, no rubber bands, paint or objects that could damage or soil the fountain will be used to create the installation.
