The 2015 Remote Future Science Village including laboratories, Science Shows and much more with industry experts!

Remote Future 2015, now on its 29a edition, is among the most important events of dissemination of scientific culture and technology a Napoli.

The event will open its doors on 16 October and up to 19 October 2015 "Village of Science" made at Piazza del Plebiscito and in different areas in the heart of the city of Naples.
First of all promoted by the Fondation Idis-City of Science and from the University of Naples "Federico II", the event will host different sectors, each one dedicated to specific scientific topics with laboratories, demonstrations, presentations and Science Shows in which experts from the sector will intervene.

The Village is open not only to "insiders", but also to students, citizens and cultural and social workers. It will therefore be an opportunity to take part in meetings, debates and to suggest new proposals not only scientific but also in relation to the most varied areas, including health and well-being, innovation and new technologies.

The Village of Science

The Village of Science will be structured in 9 Dome o sections placed in as many tensostructures set up in Piazza del Plebiscito which, as mentioned, are each dedicated to a specific theme whose topics will be treated by industry experts.

This year's theme, the Borders, wants to pay attention not only to the frontiers of science, but also to the social ones and the "shame" caused by the raising of walls, abstract and concrete, in modern Europe. And just a wall will be raised in Piazza Plebiscito, wall that every day he will lose a piece until its demolition

The thematic islands

The sections dealt with within the thematic islands are as follows:

Food and Nutrition
It will be history and anthropology, transformation and enhancement of by-products, biodiversity and consumption and health and well-being.

The sea
Dedicated to the inhabited sea, to the seabed and to the masses of water.

Innovation, the journey, the future
His salient topics will be the evolution and movement of communities, goods and materials in movements, travelers and explorations and the means and technologies of displacement and mobility.

Body / Mind
Focus on health, well-being and related technologies.

Space
Aimed at the exposure of concepts related to access to space and its exploration, safe and ecologically sustainable air transport and environmental monitoring.

La Terra
Perched on Earth as seen from space, from its surface, from its interior and on Earth as a source of energy and well-being.

La Fabbrica
Are in which the contexts, processes, materials, systems, and much more will be analyzed.

The Eternal
Polarized on multiple issues, such as the relationship of the city of Naples with the sea, the awareness of citizens about the reduction of energy consumption, urban redevelopment with Vertical Green and much more.

Signs, Symbols and Signals
Aimed at exposing new forms of communication, the evolution of languages ​​from the past to the future and the city seen as a symbolic place.

Other activities

THEAgora it will be the place of the Science Shows and scientific debates and will be held along the arcade of the Church of San Francesco di Paola, near Piazza del Plebiscito.
