Temporary closure of the Vittoria Gallery in Naples due to severe weather damage
The Vittoria Gallery has been reopened.
In the early afternoon of today 20 October 2015 la Galleria Vittoria di Napoli has been closed to traffic towards Porto.
The closure will be temporary and is due to the fall of some debris from above. The cause was the severe bad weather of these days which caused the collapse of some of the stones of the third ring of the Gallery and, to avoid damage to cars and people, it was decided to temporarily close the tunnel.
Galleria Vittoria, in the central area of Via Marina, comes out on via Acton, crossed by hundreds of workers and commuters every day. The temporary closure already has thrown in the case of traffic and it is hoped that the reopening will take place as soon as possible.
Currently there are officers of the Municipal Police on site and the entrance towards via Acton has been cordoned off by the Fire Brigade.
