Closing for 9 months at night for the Galleria Vittoria in Naples: here is the traffic device, the timetable and the alternative route.

La Galleria Vittoria in Naples will be closed for 9 months at night to allow i jobs that will make it suitable for fire and public lighting regulations. The first closing took place on the night between the 15 and 16 January 2018.

The night closing will take place Monday to Friday, except for holidays and for some days made special by events or other initiatives, from hours to 23.30 5.00. As said, it will be jobs that will last 9 months engaging, however, one half-cartridge at a time so it will not be completely blocked.

The phases of the works in the Galleria Vittoria: traffic device

Two phases of the works will be:

  • of first stage, started between the 15 and the 16 January and which will last 138 days, will be closed the right half-car, with a ban on transit for cars that come from Piazza Vittoria towards Acton street
  • of second stage, a ban on transit in the half-caroused left side, in direction Piazza Vittoria from via Acton. The ban will be valid in the days and hours mentioned in the previous paragraph.

Alternative route

During the first stage of works, with the closure in the direction Acton street, the cars can take advantage of the following alternative route: via Chiatamone-via Lucilio-via Nazario Sauro-via Ammiraglio Ferdinando Acton.

During the second stage, the one with the closure towards Piazza Vittoria, since there is no alternative route, they must take advantage of the half-car in the Galleria Vittoria not affected by the work. Therefore they can still pass through the tunnel in the semi-carriageway that is normally used for the opposite direction and must return to the exit on the side of via Arcoleo on the right side, where the new jersey will be removed, then continuing on to via Morelli.
