The program of events organized in Naples for the 2014 Memorial Day, from outdoor cinema to ceremonies in universities and schools

Like every year, even in this 2014 we are preparing to celebrate the Holocaust Memorial Day, which occurs on January 27th and which provides for the organization of events throughout Italy.

As we all know, this important day has been established, internationally, to remember the victims of Nazism, the Holocaust and all those who have been persecuted in the name of these unhealthy principles.

Also Napoli, thanks to the collaboration between the Municipality, the Jewish Community and the Goethe Institut, it will host numerous events with the aim of remembering, therefore, "la Shoah, the racial laws, the Italian persecution of Jewish citizens, the Italians who have suffered deportation, imprisonment, death, as well as those who, even in different camps and camps, have opposed the extermination project and at the risk of their own lives have saved other lives and protected the persecuted ”.

The 27 January day was not chosen by chance: on that date, in the 1945, the Soviet troops entered Auschwitz discovering the terrible reality and the horrible life of all the deportees imprisoned there and freeing the survivors from that destiny.

The program of events that will be held in Naples for the Day of Memory is packed and will involve several days; here it is.
