On March 22 of each year, the World Water Day, a holiday instituted by the United Nations to remember the great importance of this precious asset and to avoid its waste.
For the occasion in Naples special initiatives were organized by the management company, ABC, or Water Common Good, which will allow citizens to know the sources and reservoirs. The appointments will be from 22 to 26 March 2022.
Guided tours of the Sources of Serino and the Scudillo
The ABC, has organized special guided visits to the Sources of Serino in the locality of Urciuoli, in the province of Avellino, and to the Scudillo site in Naples. It will be a special experience for citizens who will be able to get to know sites normally closed to the public.
Specifically, the guided tours the two sites will take place from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00 on the following days:
- 22, 24 and 26 March 2022 visit at Urciuoli di Serino springs, in via Provinciale Turci, Cesinali
- 23, 24 March 2022 visit to the Scudillo site, in via del Serbatoio allo Scudillo 10 in Naples

Guided tour of the Water Museum
Within the Basilica of Pietrasanta in Naples there is a wonderful place, namely the Water museum which is found at a depth of 35 meters under the ground of the city. On the occasion of World Water Day, paid guided tours will be organized.
You can then admire the two cisterns of the Bolla aqueduct, then the Eel Cistern and the Sala delle Onde. This special place can be reached thanks to one special transparent lift which will allow you to admire graffiti and mosaics.
