With the National Landscape Day 2018 we can visit some museums in Naples and Campania with a focus on the landscape and nature.
Also this year the Ministry of Cultural Heritage has organized the National Landscape Day with events also scheduled a Naples and other museums and places of culture of Campania. The appointment is for Wednesday 14 March 2018 with a series of initiatives not to be missed.
The purpose of the Landscape Day is to raise awareness among people, especially the younger ones, on the importance of considering the protection of the landscape and the study of its historical memory a fundamental part of one's life and of the development of society.
These are essential values for a conscious use of the territory and for sustainable development and they have even more value because this is also the European Year of Cultural Heritage, an event that aims to strengthen the sentiment on the common values of the European space.

Napoli
Sant'Elmo Castle
9.30 am - Landscape from South-East to North-West. Views over the city from Castel Sant'Elmo
Together with the students of the Liceo Linguistico “G. Galilei ”will discover the panorama from the top of the Castel Sant'Elmo which offers a privileged view to observe the urban transformations of the landscape of Naples, which can also be discovered through some site-specific installations of contemporary art. These are "Sant'Elmo" by Mimmo Paladino, "Garitta del pillastro / monochrome red and LP / mosquitoes" by Eugenio Giliberti, Guerrieri by Sergio Fermariello, "Tempo interiore" by Rosy Rox, "Follow the shape" by Paolo Puddu, "La Cura" by Chiara Coccorese, "Particle of God" by Alberto di Fabio and "Luna & the other by Giancarlo Neri". In addition, students will also attempt to read the landscape comparing it with some historical views of the pictorial tradition.

Floridiana
10.30 am - The camellia grove and the "violet landscapes"
In the grove of the camellias of the Floridiana there will be one guided walk edited by Addolorata Ines Peduto, biologist technician of the Technical Office of the Carolino Park and Aqueduct of the Royal Palace of Caserta, and will be joined by the students of the Mazzini High School of Naples. Duca di Martina Museum
