Important paintings and evocative landscapes will be the protagonists of the National Landscape Day in Naples and Campania.

On 14 March 2017 the first one will be celebrated National Landscape Day, an initiative of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, aimed at promoting the culture of the landscape and sensitizing citizens on the protection of the territories.

even the Museum pole of the Campania region adheres to the event by proposing ten meetings of insights through the artistic works that depict evocative landscapes.

The places that will participate are: the Certosa and Museum of San Martino, the Royal Palace, Castel Sant'Elmo, the Archaeological Museum of Teano, the Archaeological Museum of Alife, the Certosa di San Lorenzo, Padula, the Archaeological Museum of Sarno, the Archaeological Museum of Pontecagnano, the Archaeological Museum of ancient Capua and the Archaeological Museum of Nola.

Certosa di San Martino Museum

In the Refectory of the Certosa di San Martino, the architect Massimo Visone will hold a conference on the "Hilly landscape of Naples", taking inspiration from a painting by Vervloet, The hill of Vomero and Villa Lucia, with the emergence of residential parks up to the post-war building disasters.

Archaeological museum of ancient Capua

We will talk about the role of the city of Santa Maria Capua Vetere Capua during the Grand Tour: images, places and stories of travel between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
