On the occasion of the Oasis Day organized by the WWF, the Tenuta Astroni Nature Reserve of Naples opens its doors to the public with a rich program
Sunday 18 May 2014 it will be a special day in all WWF oases in Italy: the organization for the protection of the environment and endangered species will organize the 2014 Oasis Day with the aim of supporting the Green Triangle of the Amazon Project.
In fact, especially on the border of the 3 states Ecuador, Colombia and Peru, the phenomenon of deforestation it is becoming increasingly worrying and urgent new interventions, including economic, to try to stop the drama that is in place.
Through a series of events organized throughout Italy, including Naples, the WWF seeks to raise funds to be allocated to the Project, for example by providing the possibility, from 1 to 18 May, to participate with its own donation by sending a text message, or making a phone call, to the 45505 number.
As for Naples, Sunday 18 may be open to the public the WWF Oasis of Tenuta degli Astroni, which can be visited throughout the day following a program designed for the occasion, with the patronage of the Ministry of the Environment.

Practical advice:
- considering that to access the bottom of the Crater you will walk, on the outward and return journey, the ancient Bourbon path made of clay and about 350 meters long with about 160 steps and a vertical drop of 80 meters, it is advisable to wear hiking shoes or gymnastics and opaque dresses with light colors.
- inside the Reserve it is possible to have a packed lunch using one of the two rest areas, equipped with tables and benches, one located at the entrance, the other at the bottom of the crater. The toilets are located at the entrance to the Reserve.
We point out that for the whole day a shuttle service will be available that will connect the Astroni Estate to the entrance to the Agnano Hippodrome, as it will not be possible to go by car to the entrance of the Reserve.
In the event of particularly adverse weather conditions, the Reserve is not open to the public.
