An agreement has been signed between the Municipality of Naples and the Suor Orsola Benincasa University for the redevelopment of the ancient path between the Sant'Elmo hill and the seafront!

An agreement has been signed between the Municipality of Naples and the Suor Orsola Benincasa University, aimed at redeveloping the Suor Orsola steps, the evocative and ancient "spaccanapoli" path located right between Sant'Elmo hill and the Naples seafront.

The trail was abandoned for years, but finally, thanks to this initiative, it will be returned to the public as a true open-air museum , chronicling the history of the monastic citadel at the foot of Sant'Elmo Hill. This evocative route, approximately 300 meters long, features steps and flat sections, offering breathtaking views and panoramas.

Steps Suor Orsola: the redevelopment project

For the project to enhance and redevelop the Suor Orsola Steps, the Suor Orsola Benincasa University has invested an initial €50, which will be used to clean the street and install benches, street lamps, and flower boxes that will then provide access to the future museum route.

This special project is just another of many that Suor Orsola Benincasa University has been implementing for some time now, demonstrating its true commitment to enhancing our region.
