The long-awaited film "Big Trouble in the Esquiline: The Legend of Kung Fu" will soon be available for fans of Italian comedies. With the participation of Lillo Petrolo, the film will be streamed on Prime Video starting from 6 April.
The plot: an adventure in multicultural Rome
The film tells the story of Davide, a boy of thirteen years shy and insecure, who lives with his mother Asia in the neighborhood Esquiline di Roma. Together with his friend Yang, Davide tries to escape the bully Nadir, hoping to one day win Yasmin's heart. Her life changes when she meets Martino, B movie actor broke who, to make ends meet, passes himself off as an expert master of kungfu.
A cast of emerging and established talents
- Lillo Petrolo and Riccardo Antonaci are the protagonists of the story, playing respectively Martino and Davide.
- The cast is enriched with the presence of Caroline Crescentini, Ludovica Nasti, Yoon C. Joyce, Ismaelchrist Carlotti, Mario Luciani and Giorgio Colangeli.

Il trailer of the original Italian film, directed by the Younuts team! and based on an idea by Alessandro Logli, it has recently been released. Produced by Lucky Red in collaboration with Prime Video, the film combines elements of the famous “Big Trouble in Chinatown” of John Carpenter and martial arts cinema. Lillo Petrolo plays Martino, an actor in economic difficulties who improvises kung fu master, while the young Riccardo Antonaci is his adolescent student in crisis.
