Caffè Gambrinus reopens in Naples and welcomes its loyal customers! The famous table of Commissioner Ricciardi also returns.

After 100 days of closure, the historic Caffè Gambrinus in Naples reopens. The pandemic and the health emergency had also forced the bar in Piazza and Trento to close, but now that we are in the yellow zone and after the many requests from loyal customers, there has been the long-awaited reopening.

Monday 8 February 2021 the doors opened at 7.00 and the café will remain open up to 18.00. After a long time, the square returns to its old light again, especially in the afternoon, although of course the times are no longer what they used to be.

Caffè Gambrinus will have to adapt to new needs and evening aperitifs will not be possible, nor will it be possible to welcome those who once went to the theater. Despite this, customers are happy with this step forward.

Inside was also placed the famous table reserved for Commissioner Ricciardi, where usually the writer Maurizio De Giovanni finds inspiration for his novel which has also given life to a Rai fiction.
