The Drive In near Caserta closes: the crisis gives a hard blow
With the use of increasingly equipped platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, citizens in Italy have begun to move away from cinemas and increasingly prefer the comfort of their own home, where watch movies and TV series directly from the sofa.
Then there was the pandemic, which has forced to close i movies, as well as many other places, this has led to a crisis situation, and in fact many businesses in Italy have found themselves forced to close their doors.
And this is what, unfortunately, happened to the Drive-in of San Tammaro, in the province of Caserta, a meeting place for many young and old, for more than 20 years. Today it finds itself permanently closed to the public.
The causes of the closure of the San Tammaro Drive-in
Unfortunately the historic Drive-in of Caserta has found itself dealing with one dramatic and crisis situation and therefore deemed it appropriate to close. But just like the Drive-in, many other structures had to make the drastic decision.
According to one analysis well 6 out of 10 Italian citizens they haven't gone to the cinema once in the last year. The causes? Definitely the Covid but as the shows Swg report of the Ministry of Culture "Italians and the cinema" 20% of citizens say they have not gone to the cinema due to having lost the habit, 15% say they have become lazy, 40% say it is a now prohibitive pastime and another 15% c 'is a dissatisfaction with the quality of today's film offer, for still others it is a matter of economics.
