The statement by the mayor of Naples Manfredi
The metropolitan mayor Gaetano Manfredi expressed his enthusiasm regarding the Giro's choice to return to Naples. According to Manfredi, this is a unique opportunity to “territorial valorization“, especially for the Campi Flegrei, an area that needs an international impulse.
We found the availability of the organization, which in an absolutely exceptional way ensured that the race stopped here again for the third consecutive year.

The statement by the mayor of Bacoli Josi Della Ragione
No information is available on the statement by the mayor of Bacoli, Josi Della Ragione, regarding the stages of the Giro. However, he is likely to share his colleague Manfredi's enthusiasm, given the role Bacoli plays in the Giro's ninth stage. The presence of the Giro could represent a further opportunity to highlight the historical and natural beauties of this fascinating location.
It's all true! Bacoli returns to host the Giro d'Italia. We succeeded. It will take place on May 12, 2024. One of the most important cycling events in the world. It will be a great international showcase for the Campi Flegrei. I am and have been saying it for days. Never before has there been a need for major global events that show the beauty of our land. And let them tell the world that coming here is safe. The Giro d'Italia goes perfectly in this direction. I won't hide from you the enormous joy.
