The Mercadante Theater of Naples reopens with the show Lo Spacciatore

At the Mercadante Theater in Naples, which finally reopens to the public, the show Lo Spacciatore is staged!

Finally, the Teatro Mercadante in Naples reopens its doors after the long period of closure due to the pandemic and will stage the show “ Lo Spacciatore ” from 12 to 23 May 2021.

We can now return to the theater in person , respecting all the anti-Covid measures necessary to limit the spread of the virus and safely experience the performances we haven't been able to enjoy live for so long.

Pierpaolo Sepe, the director of "Lo Spacciatore," tells the story of two lovers in Naples . The play is based on a text by Andrej Longo and Pierpaolo Sepe, with dramaturgy also by Andrej Longo.

Lo Spacciatore: a love in the alleys of Naples

The show's story tells of two young people who fall in love in the picturesque alleys of our city, in places where the dreams and hopes of a girl who experiences the contradictions of our Partenope by giving her heart to a drug dealer are shattered.

The Bride, a woman with a mysterious past who works for the Drug Dealer, intervenes in the relationship between the Girlfriend and the Drug Dealer . The Bride is in love with him and reveals to the Girlfriend that he is actually a drug dealer . At this point, after the two break up, the Drug Dealer desperately seeks the help of his friend Mercutio to intercede with the girl and convince her to return to him.

The cast of the show

The staging of "Lo Spacciatore" was scheduled for last December at the San Ferdinando Theater, but was canceled due to anti-Covid regulations.

The cast includes Mariachiara Basso as The Girlfriend, Ivan Castiglione as The Policeman, Riccardo Ciccarelli as The Drug Dealer, Daniela Ioia as The Bride, Roberto Del Gaudio as The Father, Daniele Vicorito as Mercutio, and Stefano Miglio as Dragon Ball.
