An evocative guided tour of the Sansevero Chapel will tell us about the magical life of Prince Raimondo di Sangro
The 30 January of 305 years ago, the Prince Raimondo di Sangro, known as the Prince of SanSevero. To celebrate the event, Saturday January 31 2015, the Museo Cappella Sansevero of Naples will be the scenery of a fascinating guided tour entitled "The Stone Testament".
The event, curated by the Museo Cappella Sansevero and the Associazione NarteA, will give the opportunity to admire the beauties preserved in the Baroque building. The Veiled Christ, Pudiance and Disengagement, the underground Cavea and the prestigious Anatomical Machines will be only a part of the enormous heritage on display at the Neapolitan Museum pole.
Everything will be embellished by the words of the expert guide Alessia Zorzenon, and by the beautiful show that will stage the life of Raimondo di Sangro. In particular, the plot will narrate the prince and how his figure intersected the lives of the Neapolitan sculptor Giuseppe Sanmartino and the Palermo doctor Giuseppe Salerno.
An extraordinary journey through time, skilfully interpreted by the actors Antimo Casertano, Raffaele Ausiello and Antonio Perna, who will project the audience among Enlightenment, culture, science, alchemy and urban legends.
The Stone Testament will be repeated in replication too February 21, 21 March, 18 April and 20 June 2015, to pay homage and disclose the importance and prestige of the Prince of Sansevero and the enormous wealth handed down to us.
