After a hiatus of the past week, in Campania the outpatient specialist activities finally resume.
The Health Authorities and Hospitals, together with the Regional Crisis Unit for the Covid Emergency have communicated this important news, therefore it will be possible to return to the specialist visits of the regional health service.
In fact, we remember that all visits and even surgical interventions had been suspended, but only those not urgent, due to the Covid-19 pandemic which caused a very high number of infections.
Finally, we have managed to organize again and all citizens can also receive non-essential, but certainly important, health services.
The reduction of doctors
Unfortunately, the pandemic and the need to dedicate oneself to the many patients suffering from Covid problems, the the number of doctors available in the local health authorities and hospitals had significantly reduced.
It was necessary that mainly cared for hospitalized patients in intensive and sub-intensive care, but also of those in ordinary hospitalization.
Recall that this break never concerned the following pathologies:
- oncological;
- midwives;
- haematological;
- dialysis;
- those that would have caused a serious danger to the patient's eyesight if suspended.
