Meeting with Marco Travaglio at the Feltrinelli in Naples

Meeting with Feltrinelli journalist Marco Travaglio who will present his latest book on President Giorgio Napolitano

Marco Travaglio , one of the most well-known Italian journalists today, both for his books and articles and for his participation in television talk shows, has begun a tour to present his latest work.

It's titled " Long Live the King! Giorgio Napolitano, the President Who Founded a Republic and Made It a Monarchy" and, as one can easily see, addresses the sensitive issue of our President's behavior within institutions and with respect to the concept of democracy.

Travaglio will present it in Naples on February 4th at the Feltrinelli bookstore in Piazza dei Martiri. His presentation is an excursus on what he believes to be the President's erroneous behavior, as it is not aligned with what democracy should be. Napolitano's vision is defined as "an old-fashioned communist vision of democracy," and the journalist carefully analyzes all the occasions when it began to "derail" and "overflow its banks."

Travaglio recounts the counter-history of the head of state, the first to hold that office twice, delving into issues such as the state-Mafia negotiations, the Alfano decree, electoral law, the revision of the Constitution, and the controversies surrounding magistrates.

A delicate and detailed book, which certainly does not have the soft and feel-good tones that most of the press dedicates to the political situation of our country. We will be able to find out more during the February appointment.
