Last two days free for the exhibition of "Painting in Naples in the early seventeenth century" at Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano!
On the occasion of the closing of the art exhibition "Painting in Naples in the early seventeenth century. Tanzio da Varallo meets Caravaggio ", inputs of 10 and 11 January 2015, at the Gallerie d'Italia of Palazzo Zevallos, will be free.
In the last two days of exhibition, which began last 24 October 2014, visitors can participate in Free guided tours, by Maria Cristina Terzaghi, the organizer of the project.
The same Terzagni that the 10 January will intervene in one conference dedicated to the figure of Caravaggio in Naples.
The initiative, which has achieved considerable success, is a tribute to Antonio D'Enrico, to the Tanzio century of Varallo, and to his intense activity in Naples and in the Abruzzi, where the famous artist knew the famous Caravaggio, subduing the whole technical and stylistic fascination.
In the thirty works on display at Palazzo Zevallos, you can admire both the masterpieces produced by the same Tanzio, both the paintings belonging to the painting of the members of the "close circle of Caravaggio". Artists, such as Battistello, Caracciolo, Louis Finson, Carlo Sellitto, Filippo Vitale, who, as the protagonist of the Neapolitan exhibition, have been deeply marked by the figure of Caravaggio.
Furthermore, on the occasion of the twenty years since the death of Giovanni Testori, well-known art historian and Italian literary critic, the exhibition will pay tribute to his figure and his work. A work that has concretely allowed the affirmation of the talent and artistic depth of the same Antonio D'Errico.
