Pedestrian island in via Duomo in Naples: Christmas events and Disney parade

An experimental pedestrian area will be active on Via Duomo in Naples with many Christmas events and the Disney parade.

In the days 16, 17 and 18 December 2016 the De Magistris administration will begin a very brief experimentation in view of the definitive pedestrianization di via Duomo. The area of ​​the decumani is the tourist area par excellence, but the peculiarity of via Duomo, born as a cardo major, that is the longest Neapolitan hinge, lies in the very strong concentration of museums and shops.

After receiving the European funding for its redevelopment there have been many works aimed at improving the area and in the 2018 there should also be the inauguration of a new stop of the Metro Line 1 at Piazza Nicola Amore.

Many are planned during these three days of experimentation institutional events, Christmas for the older ones, but especially for the little ones. There will indeed be one Disney parade from Largo Donnaregina to Via Foria and twice a day there will be a puppet theater, magic shows and baby dance. Adults, in addition to shopping among the stores that have special discounts, will have demonstrations of group dances and a game of aperitif whose prizes are kindly offered by local merchants.

Traffic device

The pedestrian area will be bounded by traffic devices in the stretch between Piazza S. Giuseppe dei Ruffi and Via Settembrini and will be active between the 9: 00 and the 18: 00 the 16 and the 17 December e between 9: 00 and 14: 00 on 18 December.
